I lowered the plate back down, and rerouted the cable so it can not get pinched again. I'm afraid the damage is already done however. While it did not cut through the outer jacket of the cable, it pinched it pretty good.

So as the new one doesn't have a temp sensor, the temp wires won't be there - which means you will have to splice the new transducer to the old cable and use the old cables connector.
