I brought it home and set it up and sure enough it would only work 10 meters. If you shook it hard 12 and 15 meters would work intermittently. WebTime Owned: more than 12 months. I've had an 18HT up since 1985, used primarily on 40-80-160. I didn't install the stubs for the higher bands but instead added 10' to the mast length and shorted the mast to the tower. This results in a vertical nearly 1/2 wavelength on 40m, 1/4 wavelength on 80m, and 1/8 wavelength on 160m. Web10 nov. 2024 · The Spiderbeam performed better but that is to be aspected since the Spiderbeam uses full size elements and has three elements on 20 and 15 meters, and even 4 elements on 10 meter. The TH2-MK3 still performed very good on 20 and 15 meters. I can't say how it performs on 10 meter because 10 wasn't open when we used this antenna.
Web15 okt. 2024 · 2014-09-20. Great for a Trap Antenna. Time Owned: more than 12 months. My Hygain (pre-MFJ) TH7-DXX was up at 73 feet for 20 years at my central OK QTH. The performance was great, I made top of the Honor Roll with it, the excellent FB ratio was excellent, and the antenna withstood many ice and severe wind events.
