WebGoldlys. Barrels of Goldlys Whisky have been ageing in our warehouses in Bachte-Maria-Leerne for hundreds of years. The name comes from the nickname for the River Lys – ‘Golden River’ on whose banks the warehouses stand. In the past the river was a gold colour because of the presence of rotting flax in the water. WebGoldlys 12 Oloroso Finish (1st release) Belgium. Grain whisky. 43% ABV. color: Amber. The faintest bit redder than the PX. nose: A light sweetness. Smooth and creamy. Maple syrup. Butter. Dill. More of that cheap bubble gum. palate: Sweeter than the PX, but in the way of artificial sweeteners. Candy cigarettes.
